Subject: When we think about leadership, we are instinctively drawn to think about the leader – their personality, skills and experience. It is easy to draw the conclusion that being more effective is about becoming more skilled. This session will challenge some of our assumptions about leadership and show how focusing only on the leader is insufficient for success.
Outcome: Drawing on examples and stories from elite sport, Richard will show how leadership is less a skill to be learnt and more a relational process that exists between the leader and the people they lead. Being an effective leader is the ultimate contact sport!
