Jocelyn is the General Manager for Carers Queensland’s NDIS LAC Partner in the Community Program for the Toowoomba, Ipswich, Rockhampton, Brisbane, Strathpine/Caboolture and Gold Coast and Sunshine Coast Service Areas. At capacity, there will be 600 staff across all sites, including Regional Managers, Area Managers, Team Leaders, Senior LACs, LACs, Community Development Staff and Administrative staff.
Jocelyn is passionate about leadership, developing a positive organisational culture and providing a high quality service to people with disability, their families, communities and the staff that work for Carers Queensland.
Jocelyn started work for Carers Queensland in 2011, commencing as the State Coordinator for the Better Start for Children with Disability Program. She joined the Senior Management Team in 2012 as the Client Services Manager for the Northern part of the state and was responsible for Service Delivery to Carers in 7 regions across a variety of our carer support programs. Jocelyn was part of the tender writing team for Carers Queensland when they applied for the LAC contract, and became the Senior Manager responsible for the LAC program on the 1st of January 2017 (Toowoomba launched on 20th February and Ipswich on 6th March 2017). A rapid expansion in to Rockhampton, and then 5 more Service Areas has seen Carers Queensland’s LAC service grow, and provides the opportunity for Carers Queensland to provide support to many more people with disability and their families.
Prior to her time at Carers Queensland she worked for Red Cross, Brisbane City Council and Disability Employment organisations. Jocelyn graduated from the University of Queensland in 2005 with a BA majoring in Psychology, and has always worked alongside people with disability, originally focussing on working with families and children who had disabilities.
