Paige has worked in a range of government and not-for-profit community organisations in the disability and health sectors over the last 20 years. Most recently, Paige has managed organisations which focus upon the inclusion, rights and empowerment of people with a disability. As the Chief Executive Officer, Queenslanders with Disability Network (QDN) Paige has lead QDN’s engagement with people with disability around leadership and capacity building. Both are integral to people with disability having a voice; actively being leaders in their own lives, their local communities and at a ‘big picture’ systemic level.
QDN’s social policy and project work is based on a co-design, peer led approach. This approach has been key to QDN’s policy work around the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) over the past 2 years; informed through our NDIS participant readiness projects – Ready to Go and Getting on the NDIS Grid and our 24 state-wide Local Support Groups operating in communities across Queensland.
