Stephanie Sievers is a speech-language pathologist (CCC-SLP) and Ph.D. candidate at Griffith University. Her research is focused on identifying factors that can direct clinicians to improve outcomes for children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) that use augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) system. Stephanie began her career as a speech-language pathologist and behavioral therapist in Seattle, WA USA. Now in Brisbane, she consults clinicians and therapy teams on applying research to practice and aids in the development of effective strategies for complex communicators. In her free time she rock-climbs, skis, and attempts to surf.
