An exciting opportunity is available to present at the highly anticipated 2025 Direct Support Workers Conference.
The theme ‘Connect, Inspire, Thrive’ will shape an inspiring program, valuable networking opportunities, educational workshops, and insightful discussions geared to inspire and challenge support workers in the disability and mental health sectors.
We are inviting presentations, posters, workshops and video submissions that are practical, engaging and tailored to a workforce that is down-to-earth and highly customer-focused.
Suggested topics may include:
- Integrating evidence into practice
- Facilitating consumer choice and control
- Career planning
- Operational leadership and management
- Person and family centred practice
- Support Workers as advocates and mentors
- Diversity and inclusion
- Integrity in professional practice
- Burnout
- Grief and coping strategies
- Disability in health, corrections and youth justice
- Cultural awareness
- Alcohol and other drugs / choice and control
- Mental health
Who can submit a paper?
Anyone can submit a paper. Whether you are a sole provider, student, person with lived/living experience, academic or a provider agency, all submissions are welcome.
How can I make a submission?
If you are interested in this opportunity, please submit a 300-word paper to the selection panel by 5pm on Friday, 14 March 2025.
